GTCFX Appoints Charbel Raffoul as CEO
GTCFX named Charbel Raffoul its chief executive officer in an announcement published October 19. Raffoul brings nearly 20 years of experience in financial services, with a background in compliance, corporate governance, financial operations, and strategic management.
Raffoul's Compliance and Operations Background
Before joining GTCFX, Raffoul spent more than eight years at Equiti as chief compliance officer and head of financial crime. According to GTCFX, his work there included developing compliance frameworks and supporting regulatory practices.
His earlier positions include director at ADS Securities, head of compliance at Alpari ME, and back office manager at Swissquote. These roles gave him experience in both regulatory oversight and financial operations.
CEO Role and Business Priorities
At GTCFX, Raffoul will lead the company's strategy and oversee its operational capabilities, corporate governance, and international business development. The company also said he will focus on innovation, improving operational efficiency, and strengthening relationships with clients and business partners.
Appointment Follows General Manager Hire
GTCFX appointed Al Ali as general manager before announcing Raffoul's appointment as CEO. Ali previously worked as a legal specialist in the Enforcement Department of the UAE Securities and Commodities Authority, now known as the Capital Market Authority.
In his general manager role, Ali is responsible for operational efficiency, organizational development, and internal management standards. Together, the two appointments add regulatory and compliance experience to GTCFX's leadership team.
