OneRoyal Names Marilena Iakovou as Chief Marketing Officer

OneRoyal has appointed Marilena Iakovou as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), effective immediately.

A marketing leader focused on growth and brand strength

Marilena brings 20-plus years of experience across marketing, communications, and fintech. She joins as OneRoyal pushes ahead with international expansion, stronger brand awareness, and a more customer-first approach in multiple markets.

Her background includes senior roles in financial services and online brokerage, including:

• Group CMO at Tickmill (pre-2020), helping guide global marketing strategy for a leading FX and CFD broker.
• Head of marketing at M4Markets (2020 to 2023), where she led brand positioning and supported international regulatory growth, including the company’s CySEC license acquisition in October 2022.
• CMO at Doo Prime (part of Doo Group) since 2023.

Across these roles, she has worked in PR, brand strategy, digital marketing, and global growth within the fintech and brokerage space.

Additional leadership hire strengthens the team

OneRoyal also welcomes Mariliza Karrera, who adds deep experience in marketing and brand management from her time at M4Markets and Doo Group. She previously partnered closely with Marilena, and her arrival adds depth to OneRoyal’s senior marketing and strategy team.

Both appointments are part of OneRoyal’s wider effort to bring in experienced leaders from top fintech and brokerage firms. The goal is to support performance, product progress, and growth in regulated markets.

What Marilena’s role covers at OneRoyal

As CMO, Marilena will lead OneRoyal’s marketing across key areas, including brand growth, global go-to-market planning, digital acquisition, partnerships, and customer experience. Her appointment, along with Mariliza and other new executive hires, signals OneRoyal’s plan to build visibility, grow in priority regions, and improve the overall client journey.
